About Us

Aims of Islamic university islamabad “The foundation of the Islamic University, Islamabad was laid on the first day of the fifteenth century Hijrah i.e. Muharram 1, 1401 (November 11,1980). This landmark of the beginning of the new Century symbolizes the aspirations and hopes of the Muslim Ummah for an Islamic renaissance and to produce scholars and practitioners who are imbued with Islamic ideology, whose character and personality conforms to the teachings of Islam, and who are capable to cater to the economic, social, political, technological and intellectual needs of the Muslim Ummah.”

Foundation of website Askallah.com.pk and Original Research Centre was laid in 2012 in Toronto Canada with the same aims as above but at indivual leve but with a different view that we start at Renaissance of Pakistan first which starts with Renaissance of each and every man , woman , child because Renaissance od a Society starts with Renaissance of Individulas who are to make the Country Great. Renaissance of Religion is limited to the review of old literature and clean it from wrong concepts which creep into it by influences from other religions, culture, civilizations etc. Each muslim country must aim at its own Renaissance and economic growth and national strength.

Name was suggested by my son Haseeb reason being that we must get back to Allah for finding the truth and guidance as our religious dynamic concepts have been totally changed, even against basic social principles.

I want to quote from the Aims of International Islamic University, just to emphasize that difference sould be That our aim should be Renaissance of Pakistan, as against hypothetical Ummah which does not exist. When we look at all the past human history, we hear about Civilizations like chinese civilization ,greek civilizations, Western civilization ans Islamic civilization. We need to aim for REVIVAL OF ISLAMIC CIVILZATION like Chineses have done it or Hindu Civilization is trying to do the same as chinese have done. Iranis are also ambitious to do the same. I will mention briefely some civilization at the end.

How I started the Research work

Forty yeasrs is a magic age of maturity. I was doing Army Staff College Quetta h1979 Staff Course as Wing Commander. We had manGuest Speakers, Dr Israr Ahmad convinced us that we all have the right yo do research in Quranic verses which related to our knowledge or experience. I said Labbaid and immediatelr chose Sura Fell ans made initial notes and started collecting material and makin notes in pencil. Te book was completed in 1982 and was presented to faculty of Hamdars Research Institute, later Hamdard University, Tuglaq abad, near Dehli, where I was posted as Air Attache from 1982 to 1986.

Dehli happened to be the next place to change my life. A tableeghi Jamat from Ghana called on me in 1983, and three young men told me that tableeghi Jamats make new muslims but don’t make arrangements for their training. On their information and requirement I quickly prepared a small prayers book in Roman Arabic which they took it along for using it to memorize salat in Arabic. Developed it further with the help of wife of Royal Air Force air attaché and devised phonetic symbols, which she tried on her students in Briritish school. Once we finalized it, then I prepared the Book, transliteration salat prayers. I got it printed on my return to Pakistan and it is being used by Raiwind even today.

I want to share with all muslims my this experience. One does not have to be a graduate from a madrissa to be able to understand uran.Let us look back to the time when Quran was being revealed in Mecca and Madina, Suhaba were new muslims, and used to try to understand the Message o Allah from their worldly and practical life experiences, world view, what does Allah wants to do, and act and adopt it in their lives. The Message was to be adopted in life. For example, whe Allah says right in the beginning of sura Baqara, This is the book wherein is no thing Doubtful. This ayat is a social principle which any one can debate and ubderstand. Any thing we are doubtful about, we never act on it. Why, it is likely to be harmul. And we don’t want to be harmed. We need to clear the doubt and when we are clear in our minds, we act on it, or eat an eatable, . Thesocial life lesson can be learnt from it that we must clear the doubt if we have one in mind. Don’t live in a state of doubt. Once doubt is cleared, only then we develop Trust, EEman, and adopt it as life habit/principle.

SO MUST GET BACK TO QURAN< TRAET EACH AYAT AS A PRINCIPLE OF LIFE AFTER THINKING ON IT FROM PRACTICAL LIFE< IN ORDER TO USE THIS PRINCILPLE USEULLY IN LIFE TO MAKE LIFE EASIER AND SYSTEMATIC AND ENJOYABLE>

Bot these books were discussed with all the Heads of Departments, they were finalized. I was happy and thankful to Allah, who guided me to Seek Him , Find Him, and Serve Him, through research and see its practical application in life. With this brief introduction to how Allah, swt, through HIS MERCY, chose me to serve Him. Thi guiding principles were these ayats and ahadis and Uswa Hasana which took me from study of fiqh, the possibility of Islami nizam professed by ulema and tailban to, instead, Renaissance of Pakistani muslims, making Pakistan rich economically and strong so that enemy be afraid of any attemts to harm us, making it a Jannat on eath through well thought out nation building measures. Let me quote the Allahs. Orders.

8-60. And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missile, artillary) to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides whom you may not know but whom Allah does know. and whatever you will spend in the cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you and you shall not be treated unjustly. anfal, ayat 60 -The noble Quran. Darussalam, Saudi Arabia.

Second thing that I want to emphasise is that ISLAM IS A CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION WHICH CONSISTS OF BEST CHARACTER< AKHLAQ< MANNERS OF MUSLIM MEN < WOMEN < CHILDREN< WIT TRUTH< HONESTY< HUMAN EQUALIY AND JUSTICE FOUR PRINCIPLES< PTROTECTORS OF HUMAN RIGHTA< FLAG BEARER OF JUSTICE< ANS BEST AND HOENEST PUBLIC DEALINGS>

Islamin civilization ruled the world for eight hundred years and was replaced by Western Civilization, by the force of knowledgr, science and technology, while we decayed in all elements of a civilization and returned back to DAUR JAHLIYAT. We need to revivr our Islamic culture and civilization and play a role in world affairs like Chinese and Japanese Civilizations have revived themselves successfully and Hindu Civilization is trying to do the same. Please see beloe a paragrapg to tell us that we have come a long way in human progress and Islamic Civilzation had added in this progress fron 7th century to 15th Century when Western Renaissance started with invention of Mechanical Press to print books. Which we refused to used for next 200 years by a wrong and harmful Fatwa by Ulema. In vention of Internet has now provided us the opportunity for renaissance which we muse use to do Pakistan ‘s Renaissance and make Pakistan a WORLD POWER IN PURSUIT OF ALLAH’S ORDERS.

Modern-day culture and civilization owes a lot to the earliest civilizations that emerged after millions of years of human evolution. Human civilization has come a long way from an age when there were no defined means of communication and hunting was the primary source of food. Gradually, agriculture took over from foraging, animals were domesticated, societies were created and developed, and eventually led to the societies that we live in today. Each individual civilization listed here contributed in many ways: new inventions, new ideas, new cultures, philosophies, lifestyles, etc. From the very cradle of civilization to the modern day, what we have become is a result of all civilizations that came before.

The primary powers of Reformation Europe (ca. 1500-1650) were Spain, France, and Austria the primary powers of Europe from the Enlightenment to WWI (ca. 1650-WWI) were France, Britain, Austria, Prussia (later Germany), and Russia the primary powers of Europe since WWI (ca. WWI-present) have been France, Britain, Germany, and Russia the two superpowers of the Cold War (ca. 1945-91) were the United States and USSR since the Cold War, the United States has reigned as the world’s only superpower; the “second tier” of world powers consists of China, Japan, and the primary European powers

The other most harmful thinking by Ulema is that they donot want to learn from other nations because of religious bias and that Islami systems are perfect. This thought is in total violation of our prophet’s directive WISDOM الحكمة Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The word of wisdom is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he is most deserving of it.”

Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2687 Another misplaced thinking of ulema is tha Islamic renaissance means Islami Nizam wich means enforcement of Fiqa by force of satates power whivh in turn gives them the right to RULR IN NAME OF ISLAM, thinking only know what is Islamic and which is not, Whereas actual renaissance of a country encompasses all fiels of national activites going through simultaneous renaissance through their own scholars, includinh renaissance of individuals. I just quote from Euroean renaissance principles.

The Renaissance of ‘Individual is the actual Renaissance oF society WHAT IS RENAISSANCE The Renaissance was a time of creativity and change in many areaspolitical, social, economic, and cultural. the way people viewed themselves and their world. Renaissance thinkers explored the human experience in the here and now. They emphasized individual achievement. The Renaissance ideal was the person with talent in many fields. Three important values different from middle ages Individualism: Celebration of the Individual Humanism: Love of Classical Learning Secularism: Enjoyment of of Worldly Pleasures.

Individualism

Celebrating individual Individuals become more important than churches, guilds, etc. Artists wanted to be remembered- everyone did Biographies and portrait painting emphasize the importance of individuals How is this different from the Middle Ages?

Humanism

The study of classical culture What every educated person should know Focused Greece and Rome scholars rejected the culture of the Middle ages returned to Greek and Roman culture All art was inspired by Greece and Rome Freestanding statues

Secularism

Secularism: the belief that religion should have no part in political or public affairs( and is a personal matter) Enjoy worldly pleasures/luxuries Clothes, jewels, food Art had more earthly subjects.

The Renaissance of ‘Individual is the actual Renaissance oF society

What should a Renaissance Man Look Like Broad knowledge about many things in different fields.Deep knowledge/skill in one area

SO I BELIEVE THA T RENAISSANCE OF PAKISTANI MUSLIMS CAN ONLY BE ACHIEVED THROUGH FOLLOWING THE ROLE MODEL/ USWA HASANA OF HOLY PROPET, AS ORDAINED BY ALLAH IN QURAN.

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much. We may call it Revival of Mustafvi Culture and Civilization.

By Following him we actually are obeying all instructions in Quran, as He could not have violated Quran. For example by copying him if we speak truth, become honest, be kind to humanity, treat them equal , are just to them, irrespective of their religion, we are actually following Quran.

Teacing Uswa Hasana is done orally, we need books. So , we can start teaching and making habits of our prophet right from when a child is born , or to illiterate men or women in villages through imam masjid. Like our prophet taught illiterate arabs of the tribes in desert, by word of mouth.

Let us follow holy prophet even in the methodology of character or akhlaq building or teaciching manners orally right after reading this philosophy.
